How booking, sessions, and everything in between actually works.
How to Book
- Reach out via email or website form with your project details
- We'll respond within a few hours to discuss your needs
- You'll receive a quote with session details and rate breakdown
- Pay 50% deposit to confirm your booking
- You'll get confirmation with all the details you need
Before Your Session
48 hours before, you'll receive a reminder with:
- Studio address and parking/load-in instructions
- What to bring
- What we provide
- Session start time reminder
- Day-of contact number
Day of Session
When You Arrive:
- We'll meet you at the door
- Quick tour for first-time clients
- Control room walkthrough: how we'll communicate, headphone setup, workflow for the day
- Confirm session goals before we start rolling
What We Provide:
- Engineering (unless you're booking dry hire)
- Water and coffee
- Access to house backline, microphones, and outboard gear
What to Bring:
- Your instruments (fresh strings/heads if tracking)
- Reference tracks or session files
- A hard drive if you want a local copy of your session
Session Timing
Sessions begin at the scheduled time. Please arrive early enough to load in and set up before the clock starts.
Overtime is billed in 30-minute increments at our hourly rate, subject to availability.
Payment
Deposit: 50% confirms your booking
Balance: Due at the start of the session (or upon completion for day rates and lockouts, unless otherwise arranged)
We Accept: Credit cards, bank transfer, cash
Cancellation & Rescheduling
- More than 72 hours notice: Full deposit refund
- Less than 72 hours notice: Deposit forfeited unless we can rebook the time
- Rescheduling: Accommodated with at least 48 hours notice whenever possible
File Delivery
Session files or rough mixes delivered within 2-3 business days of session completion.
Final mixes follow the agreed revision schedule.
After Your Session
- Thank-you email within 24 hours
- File delivery within stated turnaround
- We'll ask for feedback
- If you're open to it, we can coordinate social media content from the session
Guests
Please limit guests to those essential to the session. Let us know in advance if you're expecting more than 4 people so we can ensure comfort and focus.
Studio Etiquette
- No smoking inside the facility; designated areas outside
- Food and drink welcome in the lounge
- In control and live rooms: water in closed containers only
- Treat all gear with care
- Ask before adjusting equipment you're unfamiliar with
Liability
Clients are responsible for their personal belongings and instruments. Very Friendly is not liable for theft, loss, or damage to client property.
